Can we stay in contact?
We make positive change easier by inspiring everyone to create a sustainable world. And we would like to keep you updated on our progress!
You are probably now aware about recent changes in the data protection legislation coming into force soon.
We would like to be able to continue to engage you in all things sustainable and send you occasional emails.
We send a newsletter every other month with updates about our work and news that caught our attention.
We will share stories that inspired us only if you tell us you are happy for us to occasionally email you.
Yes, I'm happy to continue to occasionally receive Beyond Green's newsletter
We will ask you for some basic information so we can send you our sustainability newsletter. This will only take a few seconds and you can unsubscribe at any time.
If you don't consent to receive emails by 25 May, we will remove you from our mailing list to meet the new data protection requirements.

Beyond Green at All Energy 2018
Lisa and McKenna attended the All Energyevent in Glasgow and were very excited about the POWERful Women lunch.
We heard about why mentoring is good for everyone (mentees and mentors) and, as suggested by Keith Anderson, ScottishPower CEO, we’ll bring some male colleagues next year too!

She is Sustainable
The BG’s were busy last month, both organising and participating at the She is Sustainable event in Edinburgh on April 20th! BG team member McKenna helped co-organise the event for women starting out in their sustainability careers to share insights and discuss some of the many challenges faced in the workplace. BG managing director Paul sat on the panel to discuss his journey with unconscious bias and the benefits of mentoring. Check out our blog post here for more about the event, or a post about the attendees experience here.
Let’s beat plastic pollution
On the 5th of June, IEMA East Scotland will demonstrate support to the World Environment Day. The steering Group, which McKenna and Lisa are members of, is busy organising the event which will start at 6.30 pm at Sweco’s office. There will be a presentation from IEMA on ways to reduce plastic in our day-to-day life and a talk from Kate Chambers from Vegware. Attendees will then be invited to a networking event in the nearby Akva. Hope to see you there and let’s #PledgeLessPlastic

NPF SDGs issued in June
In our previous newsletter, we highlighted the new connection of the Scottish National Performance Framework (NPF) and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Scottish parliament will sign off on the new report detailing the combination of the two on May 9th. There will be a debate in parliament in the week commencing May 21st to determine which SDGs will be fully incorporated into the NPF. More about the SDGs and the Scottish NPF here.
