SG Baker is a leading European supplier of specialist flexible packaging. Beyond Green developed the company’s environmental management system (EMS) to obtain ISO14001 accreditation, as certification to ISO14001 was becoming business critical due to demands from key customers. An important aim of the EMS was to ensure it connects with underlying business objectives.
Impact
SG Baker became certified to ISO14001 on time and on budget. The EMS used was highly regarded by the National Quality Assurance (NQA) Auditor, particularly the effectiveness of the documentation, the clarity of the integration with the quality system, and the training material developed.
Outcomes
Through the development of the EMS, Beyond Green helped the company receive support from the Energy Saving Trust, and to proactively comply with legal requirements.
