How to find your footing during COVID-19
A few months ago, just as the UK was moving into lockdown, we wrote a post on how to find your footing during COVID-19. You can find the post on our website here. It is just as relevant now that we are slowly moving out of lockdown – we are in this for the long haul. Being mentally prepared for what lies ahead can make a big difference for your business.
After three years, McKenna has moved on from Beyond Green to new pastures. During her time with us, she has brought boundless energy and enthusiasm to projects, whether it was early morning starts heading to construction sites or travelling to the far corners of Scotland to help organisations to reduce their environmental impact. She took responsibility for delivering work to a high standard for our long-term partners and was heavily involved with us achieving our B Corp certification in 2018. She has rehomed over 10,000 carpet tiles from construction sites to benefit social housing tenants. During her time with us, she has delivered 75 projects for ZWS, helping businesses reduce emissions by 2449tCO2e and create annual savings of more than £1.4million. We wish her well in her future endeavours, and for the world to benefit from her passion for a sustainable future.
If you’ve been to our website recently, you will have noticed that we’ve put quite a bit of work into making it more accessible and easier to navigate. We are planning on posting more articles on subjects like Circular Economy, Resource Efficiency, and Net Zero Carbon; our goal is to make these subjects easier to understand so businesses know their options when it comes to sustainability services.
Annual report 2019
We’ve put out our annual report for 2019 online a few months ago – you can find in on the website here.
6 years of Zero Waste Scotland work
We re-tendered for Zero Waste Scotland’s new energy efficiency service back in spring. We are proud to continue working with Ricardo to support businesses in their journey towards using energy more efficiently, providing an independent, impartial and free service with a focus on identifying carbon reduction opportunities to help businesses contribute to Scotland’s ambition to be Net Zero by 2045 while lowering their costs. We have been their delivery partners for 6 years now – here’s to another year of successful projects!
