An Interview With Juniper – A Rural Zero Waste Community Project
Our Digital Business Support Assistant Sally Paynter interviewed local business Juniper on their views on Zero Waste in Scotland and the challenges they face as a planet conscious small business trying to change the world, one refill at a time. We love seeing how small businesses can make a difference in their local communities! You can read the interview with Juniper on our website.

Festivals Edinburgh Carbon Target Validation
Following on from our work with Festivals Edinburgh on their Carbon Baseline Verification (Phase 1 of the project), we worked with 8 participating festivals on validating 3 carbon targets for their sustainability plans.
Here is what Gary Stewart, General Manager for Festivals Edinburgh, said about our work with them to date:
“We were pleased with Beyond Green’s continued high-level of service during the second phase of this 12-month project which focused on validating at least 3 carbon reduction targets for eight individual festivals. Throughout this phase, their adaptable and collaborative approach to working with a variety of festivals with different needs ensured that the process and recommendations were valuable to ourselves and the individual festivals. They were always on hand to offer pragmatic guidance while ensuring the outcomes were robust and credible, and they often went the extra mile to help us achieve our goals. We look forward to future opportunities to work together where their services can support our requirements.”

Looking toward 2023
COP 27 has been and gone, and if there was one key message for enterprises to take from this year’s global gathering to progress climate action it was this: focus on implementation. It is now more important than ever to think about practical steps we can take to become more resilient and be ready for new market demands. Against this backdrop, it is encouraging to see our existing clients such as Anderson Strathern continue with their programme of staff engagement to identify actions for 2023.
